Okay so obviously I am not the best when it come to updating my blog regularly, but that’s okay because I seriously doubt anyone reads it, but I will update it anyway.
I think the last post was about 5 or 6 months ago and I never mentioned that I was pregnant! I had been meaning to write about that and make it its own post but it never got done. So, if you didn’t already know, I WAS pregnant and now I’m not. Micah Logan was born May 12 at 4:18am he was 6 lbs 9oz and 20” long.
I actually went into labor naturally this time, which is exactly what I had been wanting since I was induced with all the other boys. I wanted to know what it was like to actually go into labor spontaneously and go through that whole crazy ride I always heard people talk about; It just sounded like it was more exciting than just showing up at the hospital and having then do it all for me. I started having strong contractions at around 9:30 on Wednesday night and they were 5 minutes apart I told Skye about it but we both kept thinking that they would go away soon since I had had that happen before but as time went by and the contractions got stronger and longer I knew this was probably the real deal. I told Skye that maybe we should go to the hospital but he really wanted to be sure that it wasn’t false labor so he told me to keep track of then for 1 hour and if they were still there then we would go. At this point my contractions were about 3 minutes apart and crazy painful. We went to bed and of course I could not sleep or even lay down so I got up and walked around while Skye was sleeping. I could barely talk or even move because they were so painful so after about 30 minutes of pure torture I told Skye to wake up and take me to the hospital. I called my mom at 11:30 to come over we got to the hospital at 12:00 and my contractions were 2 minutes apart. I was ready to kill someone if they didn’t give me the epidural. They made me check in first then they took their sweet time asking me questions like what my religious preferences were and if I had a history of diabetes and all that crap that they have to ask. Then the checked hoe far dilated I was and she said it was a 6 and fully effaced, I kept asking them for the epidural but I guess I should have been scramming and crying for them to take me seriously. I guess being calm and tough isn’t always best. Lol Finally at about 1am I got the epidural and I didn’t hate everyone anymore. The story goes on but for time reasons and because I don’t want you to get too bored, I will leave it at that. I’m sure you can figure out the rest.
This little guy is an angel! He barely cries, he cried for a minute when he was born because we MADE him cry but that only lasted a few minutes then he just stopped I even had to ask several times if he was okay because I couldn’t hear him crying, they gave him shots and even during the circumcision he didn’t cry! When I brought him home I was the one making him wake up at night to feed him instead of the other way around and now he only wakes up once every night to eat but he still doesn’t cry. He is seriously the perfect baby. It’s almost too good because I don’t even feel like I had a newborn. I am blessed!
The boys love having a new little brother. They love giving him hugs and kisses. It’s hard to keep them away sometimes. I have to constantly tell them to back up a little because they get too close. I feel bad for Micah I think he gets way too many kisses and they are very slimy. Lol I guess it’s better than jealous brothers.
I have a couple of stories that have happened since Micah was born, like how Tristan almost killed him with a poptart . . . but I might do that another time. ;)

Time for an Update
A lot has happened since the last post. We have been pretty busy and haven't really had time for the blog, but I'm hoping this year I will be able to get on here every now and then and write about a few of our adventures. There is a lot I would like to write about and share pictures of but since it's been a little over a year, for now I should probably just write about the main events that have happened since the last post, just to keep it short and simple.
I should probably start by introducing the newest member of our family. yes, that's right, our family did grow. Meet Ashton Nico, he was born January 2010. We all call him Nico.
We've been having so much fun hanging out with him and watching him grow. Isaiah and Tristan love being big brothers, they will do just about anything just to make Nico laugh. These little guys are best friends, they can't stand being away from each other, they are pretty much inseparable. Time has been going so fast, his birthday is this week. He has been walking and chasing his brother all over the house. He is so full of energy and has an amazing personality. He is full of surprises. He loves to play with balls. He can even play soccer! I hope I can post a video of it sometime, it is amazing. He had only been walking for a few days and he was already kicking a ball around the house.

There is much to say about this amazing little man, but we'll save that for later posts.
Of course, Isaiah and Tristan had birthdays. I can't believe Isaiah is 4 and Tristan is 2. Where did the time go?
Isaiah started going to preschool shortly after Nico was born and he loves it. Tristan couldn't stand being away from his brother so he got an early start and has been tagging along. They go to a Montessori preschool, and it is the most amazing thing I have ever seen as far as education goes. I can not believe how much the boys have learned since they started going there. Isaiah can pretty much read now. They do math exercises that most kids don't start until maybe 1st or even 3rd grade. Each kid learns at their own pace. This is not your traditional sit in the classroom and repeat what the teacher says, school. If one kid is ready to move on to the next thing he gets to move on to the next thing even if no one else is ready. Their teacher Ms.Lindsay is just amazing at what she does, she has a way of making learning fun. I could seriously go on and on about how amazing this school is, I wish it was a k-12 school. I would love it if the boys could go to a school like this for the rest of their school years. Public schools have a way of ruining a child's creativity, they expect everyone to be the same. What ever happened to individuality? Montessori is the way to go! Okay, okay, enough of that. Anyway, it's a great school and the boys love it.
Lets' see what else. . . oh yes, we bough a plot of land in Mapleton. We plan on building a house there this year and we can not wait to move a little closer to family. The lot is .69 acres and is in the perfect location for us. We finally got the house plans engineered and now we are in the process of picking out all the little details like: flooring, kitchen cabinets, lighting and all that fun stuff. we haven't started construction yet, and it may be a few months before we do. We want to get everything right so we decided to take it slow and not rush it, like we did with our last house. I will post some pictures and maybe the floor plans on a later post.

I also decided to go back to school. Right now I'm working on the prerequisites for the Nursing program, I still have a long way to go but I am really hoping that I will be accepted in to the program at my school. That's the goal though there are other options. One way or another it will be great to get in to any of the school in the area. The minimum grade requirement to be considered for the program is a B- which really doesn't sound that bad, but since it is such a competitive program I really actually need to get an A in all my classes to even be considered for the program and even that will not guarantee anything. They only accept 50 students per semester, so I will be pretty amazed if I can get in to the program at my school. So far I have managed to A's all my classes I hope I can keep that up, especially when it is time to take Chemistry, microbiology and Anatomy, I am pretty nervous about those classes but hopefully I will survive and get the grades that I need. I just wish I could make it all go faster, school seems to take way to long.
Our cockatiel Cloud died just a few days before Thanksgiving. We were all pretty sad about that. He had been in the family for a very long time. Skye got him from his parents as a birthday gift when he was like 13 or 14 so he had Cloud for about 13 or 14 years. I was sitting in class when I got a text with the news. I was so sad about it that I had to leave class for a minute. We knew it was probably going to happen soon since he was so old but it still caught us by surprise. We really miss having him around, especially during the holidays, since that is when we played with him the very most. He was always so good with the boys, he let them play with him, put up with a lot and was never mean to anyone. We really miss his songs and kisses. R.I.P Cloud we all love you!
Isaiah started taking Hapkido classes, he loves it! We had to take a little break but he is going to start going again very soon.
