Look who is 3 now!!

He was so excited, when we started singing to him. He loves birthdays!!
I love this picture, he had this look on his face for a whole minute after he blew out the candles. It was AWESOME!!
I made brownies for him the day before his birthday Skye and I had to go to SLC for half the day on his birthday so we wanted to make up for it.
It didn't take him long to realize that it was a cage, he loves cages and thought that was good enough so he was pretty excited, he had no idea that there was something in the cage.

It took his a few minutes to finally see what was in his new cage, but when he finally saw it he kept pointing and yelling, "look daddy, there is a ferret in my cage" "look it's a ferret!!"

YES, we are good parent! ;)

He loves this about birthdays it's tradition. . . he loves it so much he asked us to do it AGAIN!

Quick Update

I finally found some time to update the blog, we have been crazy busy these last few weeks. Skye won a laptop at work so now I can use the computer while he works on his book so that helps a bit and hopefully it wont take me another 3 months to update the blog. Here are a few of the things that we have been up to lately.

We celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary Nov. 20th We didn't do a whole lot because Tristan is so young so we just took a trip to St. George with the kids, it was a lot of fun. we went swimming, even though it was way too cold. Isaiah swam all on his own for the first time and he also loved the hot tub. We went to Zion's on the way home.

Skye's Book

Skye has been working extra hard on his book these last few weeks. He has an editor working with him. it's not cheap but he is good and we are excited to take the next step with his book. It's called Malum's Shadow it's an AWESOME fantasy book, and NO, I'm not just saying that because I'm his wife, it really is an amazing book and everyone around us that has just read parts of it loves it and they just want to keep reading.

He is almost done with the editing process, I think he'll be done before the end of February. He writes everyday for at least 2 hours and wakes up early on Saturdays and writes for about 5 hours. he's been using the laptop instead of the desktop upstairs in the office cause it's more comfortable for him so that is part of the reason why I haven't been able to update the blog. I am so excited about his book I can't stop thinking about it, sometimes and I even dream about the i. It's SO awesome!! okay, enough about the book. I could go on . ;)

We were at home bored on day trying to think of something fun to do with the kids, and we realized that it had been way to long since we went bowling. So we went to Fat Cats. Isaiah loved it. It was so fun to watch him bowl and run back and wait for the ball to coma back up. We'll have to do that more often.

Two Months

Tristan is learning and doing something new everyday. He had his 2 month check up last week and the Dr said he is doing great. He weighed 13lbs 14oz and was 25 inches tall so according to our Dr. his in the 96% in height and 90% in weight, big baby. He sleeps and eats a lot, like always! poor guys had to get shots he was smiling at the Dr. and the nurse the entire time until she poked his legs. . . ouch! We also decided to get the flu shot right there, Isaiah was not happy about that.
So here are a few things that Tristan's been up to in the last month.

Big smiles, lots of talking and a few soft laughs.
Modeling! (his favorite!) he knows he's cute !

He loves tummy time, and gets stronger everyday.

He likes to make different faces and sometime will give us some attitude when we pull the camera out. . . I think he gets that from his brother Isaiah.
a little angry. . . or was he pooping??
not sure what to call this one. . .

He LOVES hanging out with his brother Isaiah, they are best friends and are always making each other laugh.

Bath time is also one of his favorite things to do, he loves the water but especially loves it when Isaiah helps and plays with him during his bath.

New Car

We decided it was time for us to get a new car since our Santa Fe was getting old and giving us some trouble. We got the Hybrid so that we could save a little on gas and we are loving it!
We plan on keeping this car for a long time.

2008 Chevy Tahoe, Hybrid

Isaiah was not happy when he realized that we were not taking his"rocket" home with us he really liked the old car. . . ("rocket" is from the TV show Little Einsteins just FYI)

until we showed him the DVD player now this is his new favorite car. I don't think he remembers the other one now. He loves watching Mulan and always wants to go on a drive.

Birthdays

I turned 22 last moth and had a blast hanging out with the family. Skye was really sweet and made sure I had a great time, like always. He went all out and got me a sweet camera (Canon XSI) and a huge lence so now I can get good pictures of Isaiah before he runs away. . . he hates pictures so I used to only get pictures of his back, but he can't hide anymore, this camera is way faster than him. :)

These are some pictures we took with the new camera.

Skye's mom also had a birthday last month so we all went up to her place, and had a blast hanging out with the whole family. she had the kids go on a treasure hunt she even drew maps and Isiah loved it especially the part where they had to dig in the dirt, that is all he wanted to do for the rest of the day, dig and play with worms he was really proud of himself when he found a worm and he started waiving it all over the place. (I wish I had a picture of that.) we had a hard time getting him away from the dirt. He is such a boy.

My little brother Dan turned 13 on the 25 of August. and Skye pushed his entire face in to the cake. It was hilarious.

Conference

We always enjoy watching conference but this time was so much better. We mounted the TV, hooked up the surround sound, and bought HDTV. Conference with surround sound, on HD, no kids jumping in front of the TV and on a rainy day. It doesn't get better than that. WE LOVE CONFERENCE WEEKEND !!

1 month

I can't believe it has already been a month since Tristan was born. Time goes by way to fast! He is getting so big, he has big chubby cheeks, I think he is about 10 or 11 pounds now. He looks just like Skye. He is such a good baby, he NEVER cries and he pretty much sleeps through the night we only wake up once during the night, but he doesn't cry he'll just make goat like noises, it's so cute. That's his way of telling me that he wants to eat and that he needs a new diaper. We love hanging out in the middle of the night, just the two of us, even though I am tired. It's fun to have some alone time. He is such a happy baby.
Isaiah is an amazing brother he is always making sure that Tristan is at his sight and if he is not he'll look for him. He wont get in the car until his brother is in there first and he is always helping me take care of Tristan. He is the best little helper and the most amazing brother. we are SO blessed to have them both in our lives.
